The ideal anodizing thickness, and consequently that of G.H.A.®, should be chosen according to the customer’s needs and the performance required. Thickness can range from 5 to 200 μm, depending on the alloy specification.
Some examples of maximum thicknesses available for the main anodizing alloys:
SERIES 5000-7000: maximum thickness 150-200 μm
ALLOY 6060: maximum thickness 100-150 μm
ALLOY 6082: maximum thickness 80-100 μm
